| Skyline High School Meets Expectations |
I swear, I am not damning the school
with faint praise.. I'm just saying
Skyline does what it's supposed to do.
It has demographics that are
favorable to outstanding test scores,
and its test scores are outstanding.
That's not the case with a lot of other
east-side Salt Lake City schools with
similar demographics. Skyline easily
has the highest 11th grade Iowa Test
scores of any high school in the Sugar
House area (see results, below right).

Skyline has an International
Baccalaureate program and an
award-winning music program.
It has been named to the top 4 percent
of U.S. High Schools by Newsweek
magazine.
Skyline is located on the east bench at
the foot of the Wasatch Mountains
overlooking Salt Lake City.
The school serves the nearby
suburban areas of East Mill Creek,
Holladay, Olympus Cove and
Emigration Canyon, but also serves
the approximately 550 students who
choose to attend Skyline from outside
these nearby areas. The sports teams
at Skyline are outstanding.
With 10 computer labs, Skyline is the
perfect host for a district-wide
Multimedia Program.
