Utah Is a good
investment
If you tune out the background noise from the national media, you will be as bullish on the Salt Lake
City real estate market as I am. Click the headlines below for the only economic news that is relevant
to Utah home buyers. In short, Utah is creating jobs, which are luring people, who need homes.
That's a winning combo. I will continue monitoring the Utah media and posting other economic news
as it becomes available. As of January 2009, Utah's outlook was still excellent compared with other
states. Interest rates are low, prices are softer than last year and the economy is in better shape
than any other state in the nation. If you are thinking of buying a home, there is no better time than
now. If you wait until the economy is booming again nationwide, the house you are looking at today
will be a lot more expensive.

Utah economy slows, but still growing
New construction slows in Utah
Even with the state's job-growth rate moderating from 4.4 percent in September
to 4.3 percent in October, Utah remains far and away the best economically
performing state in the nation.
